  Fright Fest at Great Adventure
Begining Oct. 3, Six Flags will unearth frightful fun for the entire family during our most popular festival of the year.  Join us for Thrills by Day and Chills by Night!  Before 6 p.m. enjoy Halloween-themed shows for kids, but after 6 p.m. when the sun begins to set, the ghouls come out to haunt the midways.  Evening hours feature bone-chilling walkthrough attractions, eerie shows and teeth-chattering thrill rides.

Six Flags Fright Fest is celebrated throughout the country, but things seem to be a little heightened at Great Adventure. Your daily admission is good for both the Thrills by Day and the Chills by Night. After enjoying a day taking in some of the country's most terrifying coasters, the frights continue Friday-Sunday nights through November 2.

Things start around 6 pm, when The Awakening parade runs through the park to introduce you and your buddies to the living dead and the resurrection of Dr. Fright.

One of the biggest attractions is the Dead Man's Party, where some catchy songs are accompanied by choreography from Ashley Dawson, runner up from the first season of "So You Think You Can Dance." This always seems to draw a large crowd and is definitely a must-see if you are a little hesitant to visit some of the more intense scare zones.
